Snow! Real snow!

It's snowing at my house!! The last time it snowed here (South Georgia) was in 1989! I've been outside with both of my boys all morning playing. We are in heaven. As my 7 year old said, best day ever!

Very cool!

We are having a dry, warmish winter thus far in CO! It has *maybe* snowed slightly 2x. No frigid temps nor snow like other parts of the country.

Enjoy. I am happy for your boys! There is something magical about snow in those areas that don't typically receive it!

Do you even have mittens down there?

Come to Maine! We have 16 inches on the ground and they are calling for 12-14 inches more tomorrow!

Enjoy the snow. I bet it exciting for your sons. I lost my excitement for snow the day after Christmas. So did my dogs. My new dog, Suzie, is from Missouri. She's not thrilled at all.

I know if we lived where it snowed all the time this would be no big deal. But, just check out the excitement on my oldest ds's face! This only happens once about every 20 years here!

And no, we don't really have proper snow clothes. We are in the house now. Cold, wet, and happy.

Precious pic! Frame-worthy!

You got just enough for enjoyment and moisture. That's really all you need! Any more and it just becomes a pain in the neck!

We are in southeast Georgia as well. We have been outside enjoying the snow.

It was the winter after my high school graduation in 1989 when it snowed here last.

School was canceled for today and has been canceled for tomorrow. Tomorrow is my birthday!!

That's so sweet!! I'm glad they're enjoying themselves and you too. It's so funny how people have such different perspectives on things. It's about to snow here (just 1-3 inches..not much) and we're all bi tching and moaning. lol

I enjoy witnessing the excitement for the snow so many people have. Here we're under a storm warning for 8-12 inches. Not nearly so much fun especially since it means shoveling and I have an appointment across town tomorrow.

But hey, you all enjoy!

My lawn looks exactly like the first photo of this thread. My DH was sad because he thinks that it isn't enough to count as snow and the snow is "gone"! My DH is now happy because it will snow again tonight. Yes, he is just a big kid. I am fine with snow, I am not looking forward to the heavy winds that might come with it.

BTW-here we always talk about heavy snow or "it's coming down fast" or we are having a "white out" I never heard of pouring snow but it sure fits!

I am in central FL, so obviously its rare here too. We have had a dusting like you have and I understand the excitement! It is thrilling! Enjoy it while it lasts. Unfortunately all we are getting out of this is below freezing temps, wind, rain and wind chills - no snow this time.

Thank you for this post.
The picture of your son is absolutely priceless.

I live in a snowy place so it is fun to read about the excitement snow brings your family.
