Student Teaching Abroad

Clip to ScrapBook #1

Hello!

I am currently a senior at my university majoring in Elementary Education and doing my year long student teaching. My university has given me the opportunity to student teach abroad for a month from the beginning of April to the beginning of May in a Swedish classroom. Of course, this is an amazing opportunity. I am just worried that I will miss out on job interviews while I am away since April-May is typically a big hiring time. If you had this option, would you go? Do you think I will miss out on job interviews? If I do go, should I go to the districts before I leave and give them my resume and inform them that I will be away? Thank you so much in advance!

I think it will make you more hireable. You can apply for jobnand interview via Skype.

Id say go for it.

I would absolutely go - you won't regret it! I would send out resumes and add a note that you will be gone for this wonderful opportunity. Enjoy!
