Retirement Practice

We have been off work all week due to flu in the county. DH was only out Monday due to black ice.

Every day I have cleaned something, washed dishes, done a load of laundry, watched television, and done a little crafting. I've had supper on the table when DH gets home from work.

However, I have spent most of the day sitting in the recliner with a dog in my lap.

I'm thinking this might be good retirement practice.

It is amazing how much stress leaves your life when you retire.

Enjoy your break and stay well.

I retired at the end of last year and that sounds pretty much like my normal day, except my dog is sleeping beside me in bed while I read! And life is good, no complaints!

As much as I enjoy snow days, I also dread them - I get a taste of retirement and hate to give it up when I go back to school!

I'm retired and you pretty much described my day exactly -except my cat sits on my lap... oh, and add and occasional nap during the day for me, too !

Let me guess- did you also enjoy being able to take a restroom break when needed, instead of waiting?

Glad you're enjoying this time at home !
