Gratitude.
Admiration.
Joy.
Pride.

I am grateful it's Friday and we have Dan Gutman, the author, coming to visit our school today!

I felt joy when one of my first grade students did a presentation for science with a British accent, just because she always wanted to have an accent. It was hysterical!

Happy Friday!

That is awesome! That is hysterical that your student did her presentation with a British accent. Made me smile just reading your post about it.
Happy Friday, Yippee!

I have a student who does this too.. he reads with a british accent sometimes.

He also told me that he makes dance videos.. where he dances in his room to rap songs and posts them online.. lol CUTE

Gratitude I am grateful for the cold Friday night and my hot bubble bath. When I get out, I will make myself a cup of coffee and snuggle into bed with my fat cat, Bubby!

Joy I cracked up at an e-mail one of my 2nd grade students sent me today. She was in the Library teaching another student how to use Google Slides. She wrote, "__________ is
skating on thick ice". I burst out laughing. I am never afraid to tell kids they are skating on thin ice. I love her twist on it!

Pride I am SO proud of my 2nd graders! Every single student made growth on Math MAP. Some made tremendous growth! This is the first time EVER that I've had 100% meet or surpass their goal. I realize it will probably never happen again, so I relished the feeling!
