If your school uses AR, do you send anything home letting parents know about their child's progress? How many points they have and percentages?

When we first started, I wrote a couple of sentences on the weekly homework sheet to let parents know what it was all about. Our school gives students a ribbon when they achieve a certification level. I don't have particular expectations for points because they can vary based on reading level and motivation. I do celebrate with my class the top 5 point earners for the week. I see it as a celebration more of their effort than their reading level.

Thanks! I like to see how other teachers handle it.

AR reports

We use Renaissance Place at our school which creates digital reports. I know that some teachers send weekly reports home that include word count, book level, points, and individual percentage goals. Others send these reports home to only those students who do not meet their goals.

When I was in the classroom we had to supply our own paper and we had certain amounts of copies allocated to be downloaded from the computer so I created a 1/2 sheet form to fill out. I sent that home once a month. I sent the formal digital report home with a formal progress report and during our two parent conferences. There is also a place for the parents to sign on all the reports. I also typed the info directly on the report cards under comment section 4 times per year.
