Anyone have an easy, fun science fair project that can be done in one day for second grade?

DD did an experiment where she filled the tub to a "normal" amount and measure the height in inches.

Then she emptied the tub and ran a "normal" shower with the tub plugged. She stopped after 5 minutes, 7 min, 10 min and so on and measured at each point. She made a simple bar chart of her findings.

She set it all up in the scientific method and then decorated with blue background paper and actual rubber duckies.

One day for the experiment and done.

Fill the glass with say 6 ounces.
Add the stone.
Record the new measure.
Subtract the two to find the volume of the rock.

Observing a chemical change

Supplies:
clear jar with lid, cotton ball, vinegar, tape, string, paper clip, penny

Directions:
Saturate the cotton ball with vinegar and place in the bottom of the jar.
Paper clip the penny.
Attach the string to the paper clip.
Tape string to the top of the jar and close tightly.

Sometimes you can see the copper change by the end of the day. Otherwise, it will be obvious the next day.
