Clip to ScrapBook #1

My observation is coming up and I'd love a great wow factor for reading. Any ideas? I have a few things in mind, but I'd love something out of the box.

Thanks so much!

How about a lesson on inference?

I love this lesson. I start with the film clip Pixar birds on a wire. I stop and ask what they are thinking and saying (it's all chirping, and self explanatory.)

I teach them inferring is smart thinking - you figure out what the characters are feeling by what they say and do. Then you can use a book like, No! David! to infer how he and the mom are feeling, and what he's thinking.

Good luck!
