Red Ribbon Week Door Decoration

Clip to ScrapBook #1

We are having a door decoration contest for Red Ribbon Week. I was trying to think of something fall or halloween that we could make that would go with Red Ribbon Week. I have found "Count on me to be drug free" and "Say "Boo" to Drugs". I'm trying to think of other cute slogans where the kids could make something cute to go on the door. I think the hard part for me is not the slogan, but what they can make to go on the door. I wanted to do something with their pictures, but can't think of anything. Help!!! )

How about a Picture of Frankenstein.....

Frank became Stein with Drugs, Just Say No!

or

Have the students make monster masks, take pictures and have the captions....This is You On Drugs! Scary isn't it??? Think!

Something like that.

I had a cute one last year and won the competition!
I used "First Grade knows its SWEET to be Drug Free"
The word sweet was spelled out in candy wrappers.

Then the children wrote a list on a candy shaped paper: (one was shaped like a candy bar, a hershey kiss, lollipop)
Sweet things I rather do than drugs! It was really cute Good Luck!!

Last year we decorated our door with the title -Mummy says, "Say no to drugs." The kids colored little mummy dolls (DJ Inkers printout) and I put them on the door. It was cute.

This isn't Halloween related but I covered the door with black paper and made a ribbon out of red paper. The title was, "We're Too Cool to do Drugs". I used sunglasses in place of the o's in too and cool. I took a picture of each student wearing sunglasses and they drew their own bodies.

I have a picture on my other computer if you'd like to see.

ours said "Don't be cuaght in a web" Say No To Drugs!". I made a huge orb like web on my door with thick yarn and kids made spiders and we put glitter on the backs to make them stand out and we had them on the door...I t won the contest.
ALso, I have done a haunted house(traced on a document camera/or overhead on butcher paper). Kids made ghosts and we put them around the house saying, Just say BOO to drugs!
You could also have kids pictures in the windows of the haunted house.

Decorate with hay, corn and gourds and such!
