Has anyone ever requested a return from amazon and been given the money back right away?

I am going to mail the item back but am having trouble with the mailing label.

A friend told me they don’t want it back if they already gave me the money. Crazy!

I have had them say I don't need to return an item a couple of times.

Just once ever and it happened to be during the last 2 mos did it occur. I wanted to return some cleaning product. They gave me most of the money back AND said I can keep the product. I wish that would happen more often if I returned something.

It depends on what it is. I just made a pretty significant return, a stand mixer that was a lemon. I couldn't get the return slip link to work, so texted customer support. They sent me a direct link. As soon as ups picked it up and scanned it, I got an email saying I was refunded. But, it was held until they received they received the mixer.

I once had an item arrive damaged. They sent me a new one, and said keep the damaged one. Which was worthless anyway, lol.

When I had that happen, they emailed me and gave that instruction separately in am email.

A couple of times. For very small items that just cost a few bucks. Probably because it would cost them more to ship it back and process the return.

But, I've had some items that would have cost enough to send back that it wasn't worth it for me and I just took the loss (didn't qualify for free return) so it's evened out lol. Probably more in Amazon's favor than mine.

One reason I'm very wary about buying from third party sellers.

I returned phone cases I ordered from Amazon and got my refund within a few days. I took them to Kohl's and they sent them back. It was so easy.

My lamp stopped working, I don't have a working printer and told the service rep I didn't have aprinter to print out the return label. They told me to keep the lamp and refunded my lamp, That is the only thing I have "returned'.

They once sent me the same order twice, at Christmastime, and told me to keep the second order!

I've had all kinds of ways:

• Give me money back immediately and don't want the item
• Give me money back immediately, want the item, take back the refund when I don't return it in a timely manner (60 days, so it was truly my fault )
• Give me money back immediately, want the item, take back the refund when I don't return it (I hvae issues with mail apparently ), give me back the refund when I finally return it six months later.
• Hold my money until they receive the item
• Hold my money until the item is scanned at an authorized shipment location (Whole Foods in a nearby town, UPS, etc.)

This past month, I had a new one for me. I saw that the item had reached its final destination, but it still wasn't refunded. I had to call and they refunded it very quickly.

Oddly, it was ibuprofen. When I opened up the bottle, it smelled like garbage. I don't even know how that's possible, but that's what I get for cheaping out.
