Give me some ideas to use them up...We are not french toast people here, for the most part...

I also have a few old hot dog buns that need to be repurposed...

We've been trying to find uses for everything we're bringing into the house, but no one ever eats the ends of the loaves or the last two hot dog buns left in the package!!

I was seriously thinking about making dressing out of it, but I married a Southerner and he doesn't "do" "Northern" dressing...

I have a problem using too many elipses...

Look up recipes for panzanella. It's an Italian bread based salad.

Or, maybe make stuffing with them?

Croutons! And you can season them differently so they make great snacks, too. Or freeze them and use for Thanksgiving dressing/stuffing.

Toast them and grind them up to use as bread crumbs. That's what we do with the "butt bread."

Breadcrumbs are the easiest because you can put the hem Not a blender or food processor and keep them in the freezer.

I always pull odds and ends of bread out of the freezer, broil them with butter and parmesan cheese, and serve them with soup. Not company food, but my kids always loved it.

Use in meatloaf as a binder?

Sugar rusk “cookies”? These addictive things are usually made with French baguette slices, but maybe regular bread can be used, too. It’s simply bread slices, buttered and sugared, and baked at low heat until the bread is fully dry and crunchy.

I like to use the heels to make grilled cheese sandwiches. Butter the white side and put the cheese on the crust side. I also like them buttered with an over-medium fried egg on top.

You could use them to make mini pizzas. Spread the white side with seasoned tomato paste, mozzarella cheese, and your favorite toppings.
