Several years ago we had some shrimp tacos with jicama wraps In a great restaurant in Vancouver. They were incredible. I was able to buy the jicama at Whole Foods. Then they disappeared.
I’m excited that they will be avail at TJs. They work with any taco or lettuce wrap fillings. I tried to slice themself, but it was a real pain. My mandolin would not do the trick either.
Thanks for posting. I’m not walking the store these days, just in and out with my list. I will add this to my list.
The jicama wraps sound intriguing! I would really like to try them. The butter cookies with frosting also looked good. I'll look for these next time I go to TJ's.
That list made me look up the nearest TJ. I've never been but the next time I go to Houston, I know where to go now. I have dr appointment in July and will make a list for TJ for a quick stop after. Wishing it could be a leisurely shopping tour for my first time. Amiga, here's another thorn for our prior thread. The rose - that TJ is close enough for me to get to and PT friends are here to suggest products.
The jicama wraps and the cauliflower thins. I'm always looking for gluten free stuff since I don't really care for some of the alternative flours and my DIL is gluten free. It's nice to have new options to try!
