What is your favorite ink pen?

It sounds like a silly question, but as a teacher I know we all have that favorite pen that we like to write with . For grading papers I prefer to use markers (Mr. Sketch scented markers), but for everyday writing I like using a gel pen. However, I'm still on the search for a great gel pen. Anyone have a pen recommendation?

gel pens, but love Papermate Profile pens. They write smoothly and are easy for me to hold.

I, too, like Papermate Flair pens. I use them mostly for grading.

My favorite everyday pen is the Pilot G2, bold line. But....those are pricy, and 9 times out of 10, I write with a cheap pen...like a hotel pen. I am a big fan of those

Sbkangas5- Office Depot has a big pack of Flair pens on sale this week!

I second the Papermate profile - they write smoothly and have a good grip. They aren't too expensive either.

My new favorite pen is the Papermate Inkjoy 100 (several different colors, too)---- I got an 8 pk for $2 at the teacher store! They write just like the Papermate Profile pens (which I love!), but they are shaped like triangular prisms.... very comfortable!

I love Pentel Energel.

I'd ordered a pack of 4 with my most recent Amazon order. It came yesterday and I was so busy ooohing and aaahing over my new books that I forgot all about the pens. Fortunately, when DH broke down the box for recycling, he found my pens.

My favorite is the Pilot Frixion. It's erasable!!!! They are getting harder to find, though. I've been ordering on Amazon and getting a variety of colors.

I LOVE Sharpie Pens (and they come in different colors too). I love the medium point ones but they are hard to find. Sharpie Pens are expensive so I hide them and don't let ANYONE use them for any reason.

I haven't found a good grading pen yet. I know a lot of people use marker but I so particular about how things look that I don't think I could use a marker.

I like the RSVP pens that come in a variety of colors.

I got some of the Paper Mate Flair pens from Office Max the other day and am hoping that I like that as much as the RSVP

I love my Flair pens! They are great for grading papers and I also use them in my grade book. They come in lots of colors which comes in handy when I am color coding things. Even the yellow pen shows up, unlike yellow marker.

I have a pink (breast cancer) pen that is a Shaffer I think. I like blue ink medium point. The new inkjoy ones are nice but it is hard to find blue ink. Weird I know. I grade papers with Flair markers and just got the big pack for sale at Office Max. I have used Flairs the whole 32 years I've taught. Many more colors than years ago.

Love my Flairs for grading! Also love my bold G2's--can't seem to use fine points for everyday writing--I think as the day goes on, I push harder on the pen and the fine points go right through the paper!

Bold G-2's for regular writing, LePen thin markers, and Flair colors for grading.

Seems like we teachers LOVE our pens! After reading everyone's response, I almost want to go out and buy one of each type that everyone mentioned. I think I will definitely try at least one of the Papermate Flairs/Inkjoys.

Thanks for sharing your pens with me

Are my favorite, with the needle point tip.

I bought a uni-ball vision elite last week because I liked the ink. It said "color infused black ink." The ink looks like you took black and red ink and mixed them. Also a green/black and purple/black. The point is wider than I like but I love the color!

I LOVE the sharpie pens!! They write smooth, don't bleed, and I love the fine tip. I also guard them from everyone else.
