Please dress me!

I have been invited to be the guest at a local fundraiser. The business bought an entire table for the dinner. I have nothing to wear. It is not a cocktail dress level event. Somewhere between business and business casual. I will need to order something that will be here by next Thursday, so probably Amazon. I have absolutely no time to get to a store. (I live in a rural area so at least an hour away) I am thicker around the middle with a larger chest so that plays into it too. I am so hopeless in this area.

Does this work?

topped with this

with this necklace

Shoes?

I might wear a black casual t-shirt type dress like this. If you want color, add a cardi or a scarf or funky jewelry.

And there are tons of cute spring dresses out now. I love this:

Have fun!

What about a sleeveless shell blouse (think floral) and a thin belt (high around the natural waist) with a pink or spring green cardigan sweater worn like a jacket, and dark trouser jeans.

I found shell blouses on amazon but I can't get the links to connect properly. One was Romwe brand, the other Allegra K brand. Some of the reviews said runs small so make sure to read the reviews.

Cardigan like this... https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B075X...digan+sweater#

I found a sample of this look on pinterest by searching "womens business casual apple shape". Maybe you can find a pin there as inspiration.

I like what you have picked out. It is hard to tell how that jacket will lay based on the pictures and your body type, but I like the combination.

Yes, you should wear shoes.

What is the weather like? Can you wear shoes you already have? Flats? Ankle boots?

I like the black dress you linked and the necklace. I don't love the jacket. Would a short jean jacket work? I think the jacket should hit at the dress waist.

Check out shoes at zappos.com

Shoes? I vote for black ballet flats with the dress you posted (after the one I posted—that confused me).

I think a jean jacket would look great with that dress!

I love what you've chosen! I would probably wear some flats with it, either black or blue to match the jacket. And sparkly earrings or shoes too! I love getting glitzy!

I ordered these shoes

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I own the black dress. I also ordered the blue jacket and a red one because I wasn't sure of size. I have a jean jacket I'll try as well. It might not be dressy enough. If it is really cold out I have black pants and a black top to wear under the jacket.

Now I'll have to do a quality job of shaving and maybe crack out some moisturizer and light fake tan stuff.

What you've chosen is perfect. High boots or a pair of pumps with not too high a heel. Ballet flats would work but they might be too casual.
