Clip to ScrapBook #1

Hey all, I have to log in under a different name because well...ya know.

I have a coworker who often smells like alcohol. It's not like this person had been drinking in the morning (at least I hope not), but rather had many many drinks and didn't shower later.
It's bad. I don't know how to talk to this person about it without conflict. We aren't real close, but taught on the same team for a few years.

What about leaving her an unsigned and typed note in her school mailbox?

If it's a one-day thing, I would ignore it but if you're noticing some pattern, it might be time to let someone know.

I wouldn't approach this at all unless you were close with this person. Honestly, I'd let admin know. Surely, if you are smelling it, then the students are too. That could be a real educational issue.

I wouldn't say anything to anybody unless you think her students are in danger. There was a teacher who was on heavy medication for fibromyalgia at my school.

She appeared to be in a drugged out state when I picked up kids from her classroom. I notified the principal because I was concerned for the safety of her kindergartners.
