Midwestern lake vacation

So, I'm already thinking about vacation for next year. I would like to rent a house/cabin on a Midwestern lake. The problem is, I don't have a clue about where to go. My kiddos are teenagers, and we all love nature. I always get the best advice here!

We love Door County in Wisconsin. Lots of water activities and nature activities there.

Kentucky Lake also has some beautiful rental properties. We rented one last summer and had a great time. My sister found it on VRBO.com. I don't remember any of the details as she did all the booking info.

Another vote for Door County, WI here. You get to enjoy both Lake Michigan and the Bay of Green Bay.

I'm a little biased as a Michigander, but here's a link to follow for more info.

Door County is great. So is Mackinaw Island-we love it there! There is Lake Geneva, WI as well.
