Do y'all have dress up days the week before winter break starts for your faculty?? Like tacky sweater day, crazy socks?? Looking for ideas, do you have to pay for this, is there some sort of contest? Looking for some fresh ideas

Thanks,
Janne

We've done "teacher dress" day. We're supposed to wear our most teacherish clothes - things like denim jumpers, apple appliques, stuff like that.

We get to wear jeans the week before Christmas if we wear a Christmas shirt. No daily theme.

Day Before Christmas Break

The day before Christmas break, the staff and students dress as Santa's elves or reindeer.

Before I was retired, I dressed as Mrs. Clause. Now that I am retired, someone else uses my costume.

My teaching partner and I just put together the week's activities. Monday is head gear (hat, antlers, elf ears, etc), Tuesday is holiday socks. Wednesday is our PLC and we're having a brain break: a holiday mug with something in it (candle, ornament, chocolate, etc), wrapped, and we'll do an exchange. Thursday is neck wear (scarf, necklace, turtleneck) and Friday is festive sweaters.

We're just doing this for fun--we need same morale boosters. I call my partner to Morale Officer of the building. She is always cooking up something.

My school actually has a Christmas sweater contest for the staff! It costs a few bucks to 'enter' -- and that goes to a chosen charity.
