Daily 5 too late to start?

Clip to ScrapBook #1

Hello everyone,

I just discovered the daily 5 and I'm supper excited. Our school hasn't had training in it in the upper grades, so I'm pretty much just trying to get a bit of an early start. I wish I had gotten the daily 5 for dummies at the start of the school year! My question is it it too late to start? Are there parts of it, I can start now without confusing my students? Any advice is greatly appreciated. Hope you are having an awesome school year.

There is a "D5 for Dummies" out there. Perhaps if you search Proteacher? There is also a D5 group specifically for the upper grades on Proteacher.

It's never too late to start! My first year of D5, I started in January when I first read about it. Find the D5 for Dummies (cteacherrun is right...just search PT) and get started. You may have to tailor it a bit for upper grades, but again cteacherrun is right in that there is an upper grade group for D5 here on PT. If in doubt, ask questions. There's always people who will help out.

Good luck.

If you pinterest, there are a TON of free resources for D5. Besides PT, it's one of the best resources I've found!
