A must read/video

Clip to ScrapBook #1

Stemming from a poster who described a week of snow activities, I decided to do that during Catholic Schools Week. Last week in preparation, we (mostly me) made snowman hats and scarves. Today, I read the book Stranger in the Woods, which is absolutely beautiful. There is a 30 minute dvd of it that is an absolute MUST! It is not only beautiful, but hysterical in places as well. I know my 3rd graders are going to beg to see it once more before I return it to the library.

P.S. it was pajama day/spirit wear day

I would make the hats a little shorter length wise. You turn the bottom up 3 inches, but I found if you rolled it up 4, the snowman's head stood straighter.

I traced it out on the fleece, then two parents sewed them up.

Thanks for the info about the DVD. I did Stranger in the Woods for a Family Literacy Night and we made 3D Snowflakes. Lots of fun.

Where did you get the DVD?

or rather who made the DVD so I know where to buy it.

thanks

Do you still have it at school?
Can you check and see who produced it? eg Scholasatic, Magic Lantern etc?

Thanks
