Thank you! Thank you! It was a grand gesture of solidarity for your union to send $1.5 million to the BCTF. Our strike fund was empty and now has something in it.

We are walking the line to save Public Education in BC and it's been a long, bitter battle. We were on rotating strikes for 3 weeks and now have been on full walk out this past week. Our government is intractable and has been stonewalling us at the "bargaining" table. I'm not sure it can be called bargaining when one side (govt) either doesn't respond or says no to everything.

Again, thank you for your gesture of solidarity. I know you'll keep us in your hearts in this last week of school.

From at least one grateful BC teacher

We were just speaking about the situation BC teachers find themselves in in the staff room today. You are certainly in our thoughts.

I have to correct myself.

Whatever the breakdown, it's fantastic and a real boost to our morale. Thank you again.

If you want to see something amazing and uplifting about this horrible strike, take a look at Twitter #thisismystrikepay .

I'm glad to hear it boosted morale. I think Ontario really understands your pain right now. Even though our issues aren't exactly the same, we've had our share of turmoil recently and unfortunately I think we'll have more of the same next year when we have to re"negotiate".

I love the pictures I've seen of classrooms "before" (without all the teacher-purchased items) and "after" (with all the teacher-purchased materials). Great campaign!
