Does anyone here use the "Raise Responsibility" model of discipline? If so, could you share some tips and strategies for incorporating this in an early elementary classroom?

Thanks!

We have the search bar at the top. Here is good example of what you can find. I've been using it for a while, and I love it!

I thought you might be interested in reading this web page:

Thank you, Munchkins! The page was helpful and it sounds like there are a lot of people experiencing great success with this. Unfortunately, the links no longer worked, but I did try to pm one of the original posters.

Sorry I didn't add more, but I was ready to turn in after working in my classroom all day! I highly recommend getting the book, it's like my bible at the beginning of each year! I am going to review it this week. Since I start next week.

Don't forget to use the search bar at the top right of the one page to see a bunch of other conversations we've had. Good for you for using intrinsic motivation! You're making the world a better place!!!

I don't think its good to teach students that they get something for doing what is required of them in the first place. As a adults we know it wrong, for example, to rob someone do we get a reward for not doing that no. We get the feeling of being FREE. I think we should teach them in a real world fashion because during the school year they spend more time with us than they do at home and we are helping to raise new members of our society. Just my 2 cents
