Just wondering what everyone is doing with the students' water bottles?
I have an empty book shelf this year but won't have it next year.
I don't really want them to put their bottles on their desks.
Ideas, please and thank you!

If I had students with water bottles, they would be outside lined up on my ramp. I would not allow them in my room. I agree that water bottles should not be on student desks especially since we use computers daily.

I bought heavier plastic cups from the dollar store. I drilled holes in the side and one in the bottom. Then I zip tied them to the leg of the desk at the cross bar so they donít slide down. They work great and Iíve only had one or 2 break off and had to replace. Our water fountains are off limits due to covid so they have to have water bottles.

This year, they keep it on the empty desk next to them, but it sounds like that's not an option for you. I usually have them put them on the floor by their desk. One year, I just had them keep them in their lockers because it was too disruptive for that group because then it'd be going to the bathroom all the time so they all stayed in the locker. They only got a drink when we took our recess and lunch break. They all survived and no one complained.

We wouldn't be able to attach anything to their chairs due to stacking but I like that idea.
