We are launching a new 4K program next year and I am looking for your feedback on great resources that you love.

Do the big reading/math textbook publishers offer curriculum for pre-K?
If so, what do you like/dislike?

Any screening checklists/tests that you use would also be helpful.

Thanks!

I taught a Pre-k class in a public school system, and the literacy curriculum that we used was Scott Foresman Reading Street. It was an excellent program that had a comprehensive literacy curriculum as well as thematic planning ideas for learning centers including math, science, and social studies/community studies.

We have had a public school 4K program for 15+ years. Currently, we use a little bit of Creative Curriculum and a little bit of Wee Can Write(6 traits). The entire elementary staff has also been trained with Elena Bedrova. For math, we tie in hands-on activities to math standards.

My 4K students love Jolly Phonics Jolly Jingles (CD with big book). Almost all of them know their letter names and letter sounds from this learning.

I use Creative Curriculum and its assessment tool, High/Scope, and ZooPhonics. We don't have a specific math or science curriculum.
