What program do you use to identify the high ability kids in your district?
We are using CRT but it is from the early 80's and won't work with XP. Tell me how you use your data to come up with the names of your top kids?

Until this year all identified students for GT were referrals from parents or teachers. This year we screened EVERY kindergarten student with Naglieri (and will continue this process from now on). Students who scored in the 83%ile or higher were recommended for further testing (as we also serve Talent Pool in our district - students between 83rd and 89th percentiles).

We do not use any testing data (occasionally I will pull the Stanford 10 or Aprenda scores on a first or second grader), but other than that TAKS (state test) is a grade level skills test - nothing above level, so we don't use it.
