"Drawing" stories

Clip to ScrapBook #1

Today we had a lady from the local library come in to read stories to the children in pre-K. Well she read a really cute story and as she was reading, she drew a picture on a white board. The kids loved it! Does anyone else do this? Where can I find stories like this?

I would like to know more!

I have to say GO BLUE!! Sorry, couldn't resist

Second....wait, she actually reads from a book and then pauses to draw a picture?? Wow, I'm too clumsy to be able to do that! I'll end up dropping the book, then the marker, then the students will begin to get ansy. Do tell more!

She didn't read a whole book. She had the whole story on a piece of paper. She was smart and had the paper in a page protector. My kids loved it! They were silent as she read the story.

Draw a Story

I do a story about a dog named Bingo. I found it online, but my Bingo story is at school and I won't have access until Tues morning. As soon as I get the web site I will post it for you. I read the story and draw what it tells me to, then at the end of story I ask my students if they have seen my dog? and I've drawn a dogs head with face on my paper.
