Hi does anyone have any ideas i can use to run a design and tech after school activity?

based on different types of art and craft for 7-9 yols that doesn't require alot of set up?

I don't usually teach that age group, but I would start by having a series of design tasks... maybe base them on first learning the three dimensional shapes using toilet paper tubes, blocks, etc.

You could have students use at least five cylinders to hold up something of a certain weight, or have them create a sculpture incorporating the different elements of art: shape, colour, line, space, form.

Materials are easy to find, parents are happy to collect and bring in empty containers, bags, etc.

You could have fun with themes, like "Blue Tuesday" where everyone wears blue, all the art and designs are made in the colour blue, and so on.
