Has anyone read this book or used it in their classroom? I just learned about it today, and I am curious if there are others out there using in their schools.

I have heard presentation on the parallel curriculum and have "looked" at the book but have never been able to fully understand it! I will be interested to hear if there are others that have been able to successfully implement it!

Wishin2go,
I am so glad you posted that! I read this last night and didn't want to appear "stupid" by saying that I just didn't really understand it. I had one professor in grad school "somewhat" use it, and I was given two of the books by the director in my department, but I still don't fully "get it". Of course, I haven't read the books all the way through either.

I need someone to "line it out" for me. I am not one who learns easily by "reading the manual". I hate reading stuff like that!

but I found this article that gives an overview. http://www.nagc.org/uploadedFiles/Ar...w%20header.pdf
The Parallel Curriculum book was edited by Tomlinson and Renzulli, and several others.

This was on my GT qualification test today! I think I bombed all questions about it because I had never heard of parallel curriculum! ARRRRR! I wish I had read that article before today- maybe I could have made a better guess!
