I have a grant proposal for Donorschoose. Do you think it's inappropriate to send it to my NEW principal??

Maybe attach a note. Something like,"just wanted to give you a heads up that I've applied for this grant. I hope I get it for our students!"
Donors Choose requires admin contact info if I recall correctly, and I wouldn't want my admin to think it's spam or something.

I wouldn't ask for a donation - I think Bookgeek has a good idea of how to handle this.

I think you should attach a note and maybe the copy of the proposal and ask him/her to contact you with any questions...I know at my school it may have to be board approved.

Don't ask for a donation.

I don't think it's appropriate to ask a principal to donate to your project, but give him the heads up that it is posted. He will be notified when it's funded, and it belongs to the school. Ours need to be approved by the board as a gift to the school. They always accept them.

Good luck with your proposal!
