I lost my keys at work today. House, cars, remote keyless entry, all my discount key tag cards....
What is the prayer you say for lost items?

Idk about St. Anthony....I would just be praying to the good LORD himself.

If you lost them at school they'll probably turn up. Make an announcement to the entire school so the other teachers can keep an eye open. It also wouldn't be a bad idea to offer a small reward in case a little darling picked them up and is holding them for a keepsake lol. A few bucks is enough to motivate an elementary child and worth it to save you the trouble.

Thank you, bless you for this thread!

The last time I had an inkling of where my classroom key was on March 21st. Blech.

Plus I've lost:

* my Kroger card and
* this paper that shows the exercises I'm supposed to do for my shoulder.

P.S. bookgeek, the last time I misplaced a whole set like you're talking about, I had shoved them into the middle drawer of my desk at school. The black tops of the keys blended right in with the black inside of the drawer. And I had looked there multiple times.

Another time I misplaced a key in a laundry basket. I had the key in my hand when I was carrying the basket and...oh well...

I lost....

my engagement ring about 6 mos. ago somewhere at home. (I do know that part for sure.) I still haven't told DH. Don't rat me out until I find it, ok?

He found it last time. (Yes, sadly, the same thing happened about a year ago, and didn't let me live it down for the next few months...and then, oops...I lost it again.)

(I just hope my yorkie didn't find it and hide it. )

Unfortunately, I teach slightly evil, sneaky middle schoolers. I still may put a "no questions asked" reward out there.

Did you check the trash can?

I lost my ring of keys once, and they had fallen into the trash can next to my desk. Thank goodness the custodian found them, or I would have been sleeping over! I'll be asking St. Anthony for you (and for you, Hideeho, for your lost items!)

Also, a good friend repeats as she's searching, "Jesus was lost and was found, Jesus was lost and was found....."

Dear St. Anthony as I pray, return it back without delay.

While you repeat this, think constantly about the lost item.

St. Anthony

I teach at a private Catholic school and one of my older colleagues, who has since retired, was constantly losing things and saying this prayer. (I think she took the liberty of calling him "Tony" because she was on a first name basis with him)

It always worked for her and I pray it when I can not locate something I desperately need.

"Tony, Tony turn around
something's lost and can't be found.
St. Anthony, pray for us!"

Good luck!
