An awesome tasting cake I made :)

Clip to ScrapBook #1

I just finished a tie dyed cake. I made it with two boxes of white cake mix, and separated the batter into five bowls. I used packet of each kind of unsweetened Kool Aid in the bowls, orange, lemonade, strawberry, grape, and berry blue. Then, after I poured the colored batter into the pan, I ran a butter knife through it, to swirl it really well.

It looks a little strange, but I promise it tastes really neat. I'm making it for one of my chorus classes. I got the recipe about 9 years ago, from a jr. high aged student.

I also got info on how to make "witches brew" back then - Mountain Dew, 7 up, or Sprite, and a packet of lemon-lime koolaid. Shake it gently, and it tastes really neat. Has quite a kick to it. (The mountain dew used to taste the best with it.)

Because the cake was so colorful, and had such a neat taste to it, I decided not to frost it. No need to cover up the flavors.

I'm going to try to attach a picture so you can see it.

I def want to try the tye-dye cake.

Silly question. Is there a way to tag this page or put a mark on it and find it again to come back to when I actually want to bake it?

Thanks!

....since it's unsweetened wouldn't it taste weird??

I love this idea but not clear on it all....
