Spanx or Something Else?

I use Spanx compression garments to help flatten my tummy sometimes when I wear certain shirts. However, I've often found that by lunch time or so, my stomach is HURTING! It feels as if my organs are being squeezed out of me!

Has anyone found a compression garment/girdle/whatever you'd like to call it that doesn't hurt midway through the day?

Probably the Spanx. My friend just had a baby in May, and she has been wearing a belly band, and she told me that she can't wear it anymore because it digs into her and leaves marks on her belly and hurts. I know shape wear is supposed to be nice, but its unnatural just like high heels

I hate compression garments. I always feel too hot and squished. No realy advice there.

But if you want comfort and don't really care about being fashionable. I say go for moo moos ( not sure of the spelling on that)----nothing shows when you wear those. They're cool and flowing all your organs will love you.

Compression garments have different levels of compression- I'd suggest trying a lighter style that isn't quite as constricting.

It won't control as well, but it will be more comfortable.

I use the Wal-Mart brand "Sweet Nothings". It's around $16 for a camisole, I also bought the bottoms that are like capris but haven't worn them. I can sometimes find it at Ross A LOT cheaper.

And, I used to wear Spanx when I had a lot of weight to lose, and in the south's humidity, there are some things that even Spanx isn't a perfect match for.

There's a reason they are named SPANX. And, it isn't for their breathable ability in the south's humidity. They'll stick to ya like a pancake.
