Moving to Second!

Clip to ScrapBook #1

Like a few others who have already posted on here, I am (most likely) switching to second grade last year. I'm coming from kindergarten (as you can tell from my user name...hm...maybe I should have taken PT's advice not to use my grade when making my user name!)

My question is about websites that are useful to second grade teachers. Are there any websites that you use? There are tons for kindergarten teachers, but I've never heard of any geared towards second grade. If you could share any websites with resorces, teaching ideas, etc. I would appreciate it! Thank you!

Welcome to second grade! As you can see from my user name I didn't heed the advice about not using my grade level in my username!!

I have several sites bookmarked:

Mrs. Bainbridge's site - http://www.teacherweb.com/mi/central...ridge/ap33.stm

Mrs. Griffin's site - http://www.myteacherpages.com/webpag...ffin/index.cfm

Mrs. Moore's site -
http://www.vickymoore2.com/index.cfm

Mrs. Vensko's site - http://www.teacherweb.com/FL/LaurelH...sVensko/h0.stm

Mrs. Meacham's site - http://www.jmeacham.com/

Mrs. Winston's site - http://www.mswinston.com/index.htm

Worksheet generator - www.kidzone.ws

Enjoy!

Whatever unit I teach, I search for that in the proteacher.com search bar. When I had to teach insects, I typed in 'insects' and found some very helpful tips and ideas. Whenever I need little tips for anything, I searched in the search bar. For example, I needed some help with a morning routine and I typed in 'morning routine' and found some great ideas.

Good luck!
