cataract surgery she called me all excited - she didn't know that her wall paper had a pattern/texture! Yikes - and she was driving? Good luck on your surgery tomorrow!

You'll do great. My mom had her 2nd eye done a few weeks ago. She was so nervous about the first one, she actually got sick to her stomach in the eye doctor's office PRIOR TO EVEN SCHEDULING HER SURGERY APPT! The first eye was SO easy and she was SO pleased with the results, that she was actually looking forward to having the second eye done! It's only been about 2 1/2 weeks post surgery for the 2nd eye and she only needs her glasses to read now.

Best of luck to you. I hope your results are as good, if not better, than hers!

I didn't have any issues with my cataract surgery, but now I have to wear a contact in only one eye and I still don't think I see as well. Before, I had wonderful transition lenses for both right and left, so i could see close, middle range, and far. But I can't wear the lens for just one side, because it would "distort" everything. (??) So now my cataract lens is for middle ground, I wear a contact lens in one eye for distance, and old lady glasses to read.

BTW, the surgery was a non-issue. Wore an eye patch for a day, and that was it.

I am a little nervous, my surgery is supposed to be a little complicated because my lens is stuck to the iris. The actual procedure is supposed to take an hour.

I'm also having kidney stone attacks (haven't had one in 2 weeks). Just hoping I don't have an attack during the surgery!

I just can't wait to see a little better.

Good luck!! My mom had her first one done a few weeks ago and is having her second done this week, I believe. She didn't report any additional uncleanliness in her house, but she's so busy, she probably wouldn't notice anyway!

Good luck! I had cataract surgery, and it wasn't bad. Quick and easy. It WAS weird to be able to "see" it happening, but they had some sort of relaxing IV in me and just upped my dosage when I asked. You'll be thankful you did it in a week or so!
