In your opinion what is the difference between a:
  1. Girlfriend.
  2. Lover.
  3. Fiance?
When someone says one or the other, what comes to mind?

1. girlfriend: Someone you have a standing date with. Someone you can get comfy with and jsut watch tv. Someone you are ina relationship with that is probably (hopefullY) monogomy based. Someone your family has probably heard of. A girlfriend will eventually want more out of the relationship in some way and it will either last or not.

2. Lover: Lust oriented. A private relationship. Not destined to grow but remain as is. Your family has probably not heard that persons name. Not the person you will bring to a work party or to thanksgiving dinner.

3. Fiance: families have been introduced. Plans to spend the rest of your life together and all that intails has been agreed to and is in finalization stages. Someone your equal.
