My school adopted Go Math last year and I still have a great filing system on AMSTI. Would you combine the files because some lessons do correlate or keep them separate? If you are teaching Go Math, what are some teaching or organization tips to prepare this summer for the upcoming year. Thank you!!

GoldiTeaches, AMSTI is also called Investigations. Can you tell me how do you organize Go Math?

Sorry, I'm having Summer Brain. What do you mean by organizing the materials and filing stuff?

alternate order

I'd like to see if anyone else teaches the lessons in another order. Last year was our first (of SEVEN) with Go Math - and I didn't care for it. I think if I rearrange the first few units on addition and subtraction and start with shapes/graphs, etc it will be much better. Those first few units were brutal! I had parents complaining about how it was being introduced. It is very abstract and hard for the majority of my kids to understand. I also found that the tests were mainly over the basics and not all that mumbo jumbo in the lessons that got the kids so confused.

Any thoughts??? Anyone reorganize the order of units yet?
