DS went by himself there for a vacation last spring and enjoyed himself. He suggests a ghost tour where you'll learn alot of the history, walk around the town (which is very small), hiking and biking. AAA also had some ideas of what to do depending on your activity level and interest.

Enjoy! He did eat at a good Italian restaurant for his birthday

Funny story...We're not from that state or nearby at all (he lives in a neighboring state)....DS went out to breakfast at a local place, got talking with a a guy sitting at the counter and turns out the guy graduated from the same high school as DS did!

Check the weather before you go! We went for Valentineís Day one year and ended up freezing in the snow.

The ghost tour is fun, but itís a lot of walking.

There is hop on and off bus system that you can get on at the visitor center. Parking can be tricky in the downtown area. Wear comfortable shoes. Eureka Springs is rather steep in place. My parents went to the Crescent Hotel ( before it was haunted) for their honeymoon. They only stayed one night. Thatís how long it took my mom to find out how much it cost.
