Someone I follow on Instagram is encouraging followers to give their ďfree mealsĒ from food subscription services like Home Chef, Hello Fresh, Blue Apron, etc., to people who might be struggling. I thought this was an exceptional idea. If you know someone who may be struggling to put food on the table right now, pass them a free meal referral!

Nice idea!

Do they have to sign up with a credit card? Iím thinking of a family in my neighborhood who may love to use this but Iím not sure if their credit card limit or access.

I think they just claim the free box that you share with them through e-mail.
I gave off all of mine in less than five minutes, and everyone has claimed them. If they wanted to eventually subscribe, they might?

For Blue Apron you have to enter a credit card number. I still haven't figured out how to cancel the service. I keep going in and skipping upcoming meals. Guess I could take the time to make a phone call now.

They do have to sign up and put in a credit card. Right after that get the first (or after it has been shipped) delivery they need to cancel the account.

Great idea! I have a ton of free boxes to gift.

Thanks for clarifying. I actually subscribe to Hello Fresh, but donít remember how it started! I donít do it every week, but often, and I love it.

Blue Apron is the one you have to actually call them to cancel. I tried them, but I donít like their menu.
