I think everyone is feeling this way right now.

True, but I'm actually enjoying eating food I cooked, so I'm not sick of it just yet, ha! I used to get takeout or fast food a LOT. The last time I got takeout was March 26th.

After that, fiance' and I told ourselves, we better watch out because the last thing we want is to keep getting food from these restaurants and then we hear, "An employee at ___ restaurant tested positive" and we just got food there yesterday. I'd be furious at myself.

I enjoy cooking, and am using the time to try some new recipes I had pinned on my Pinterest boards and never had a chance to use. That being said, I miss having the choice of cooking or going out, especially for lunch. A friend and I did split some takeout from a local deli, but I had called the order in hours before I said I would pick it up and thought it would be waiting for me to pay quickly and leave. Instead, it wasn't ready and I had to wait for what seemed like a long period of time, dancing around everyone who came inside to maintain social distance.

I can definitely relate! Eating out is really one of the only things I spend "pleasure" money on.

I had to drive to school to help with a fundraiser for families, and I could smell McDonald's french fries as I drove past one. I really, really, really wanted to stop and get some. I haven't had fast food since March 6, and french fries used to be a weekly (if not more often) snack.

I also really want a donut, Burger King chicken sandwich, Chipotle burrito bowl, Sonic corndog and slush, restaurant burger, Jamba Juice, and pizza.

In other news, the pants that were feeling a little snug back on March 6 now come off without unbuttoning. So.... silver linings?

I'm hoping this helps my husband and I get back into the habit to eat at home most of the time like we did in the old days. Sadly we both want pizza from the pizza shop.

That is so funny and YES! When we want food from a restaurant carry out just isn't the same!
