I've already forgotten what work is like.

I had to work on curriculum maps all day, and my butt is dragging. I had cereal for supper and would have been in bed by 7:00 if I hadn't had to finish something for tomorrow. As it was, the sun was still shining across the bed when I pulled the curtains. My iPad has already hit me in the face once because I dozed off.

you get off schedule during vacations and when you have to try to get back into the groove, it can be rather painful. Hope you survive the "re-entry phase."

9 more days

with the kiddos here and then, two more work days. Even when I am off and cleaning and painting like mad, it still wears me out to go to an inservice.

Love it, love it, love it! Seriously. Can't wait.

Last day with kids today. 2-3 days left of cleaning (I'm kind of messy...), but then done! Tonight will probably be as you described.

Slow pace

I love the slow pace of summer where I may have one thing on my to-do list and that's it! Today it was picking up my uncle from the airport. Yesterday it was walking with a friend. Tomorrow it's laundry. And if my one thing doesn't get done, THERE'S ALWAYS TOMORROW!!

It can be a rough transition both at the beginning and end of summer but this time that rough adjustment only lasted a day

Happy summer!!

Hope you were able to finish your curriculum map, Ima Teacher! Aren't you glad you are knocking that out at the beginning of summer so you won't have to worry about it?

This is my first week out of school, and I must say that I have been pretty lazy. I am ok with my first week being lazy. This has been a tough year with all of the changes. More changes coming next year, so . . . I better rest while I can!

Next week I have a 4 day Kagan workshop that lasts from 8 - 3 each day. I am not looking forward to giving up 4 days of my week during the summer, but it should be a good workshop. After that, hopefully I will get busy with some deep cleaning. I ended last summer by weeding out and cleaning my computer room. This year I started my summer by doing that before summer even started. So . . . that is one thing checked off my list! Yay!!!! I do have one more workshop to go to later in the summer, and some common core work days at school suggested by our principal (which I may or may not go to all of them). Oh well. I'm still very glad that summer is here. I soooo needed the break, as I'm sure we all did!

Happy summer, everyone!!!!!

One more week with the kids - they are done and frankly, so am I. After that three workdays that I will use to completely pack up my classroom for my move. The only question is where I'm going to store everything?
