Walk of shame

Have you ever done something and you know you shouldnít do it, but you did it anyway?

That was me today. I did the walk of shame...at the grocery store. With a 12 pack of soda. I havenít drunk soda in 10+ years and just in the last 2 weeks or so Iíve started (and have the weight gain to prove it ).

I picked up my 12 pack and skulked to the self check out so no one would see my shame. Luckily I didnít see any kids or anyone from my WW group (that I havenít attended in months, I really need to go back ).

I am addicted to diet pop and it sure does receive a bad rap these days! My teammate and I joke that we're getting to the point where carrying a diet coke down the hallway is going to be synonymous with walking down the hall smoking a cigarette! We eat lunch in my room so we can hide our shame!

Taco Tuesday did me in

I love Taco Johns and they have hardshell tacos for 89 cents. I meant to get 2, but ordered 4. I figured that I would put 2 in the fridge for tomorrow. Nope. Ate them all. Also ate chips and nacho cheese. Good thing I forgot to order churros. Their churros are yummy!
I did justify it by reminding myself I drank a bottle of Glucerna for lunch.

I shopped healthy today and I'm craving something 'junky'.

Need to cut back my caffeine consumption but DH pleaded with me to do it slowly....
When I was still teaching I kept a "medicinal diet Coke" in the office fridge. The office staff would take one look and hand me the Coke.

I thought walk of shame meant you had a really good night. Or at least helped someone else have a really good night.

Diet Coke drinkers unite!

I don't drink as much as I used to (and even that was maybe one a day). I've cut down to 1-2 a week. I need by Diet Coke or Diet Dr. Pepper.
Some foods just go better with a soda. I don't drink alcohol so diet coke is my "bad things."

....ellakate sneaks down hallway hiding diet soda....

diet mountain dew

Diet Mountain Dew is my vice. Everyone else will be drinking their bottle of water and there I am with my soda. Oh well, if it's worst thing I do, I can live with it! At least I don't spend money on fancy coffee drinks!

I do really like Coca Cola esp. the ones made with cane sugar. I only drink it on weekends. However I do the walk of shame every time I leave the grocery store. My new thing to do is try a different ( read more expensive) type of cookies.

I've Been Off Soda, Too

What kind of soda?
If it was Pepsi or Coke, I can see why.
Every other commercial is for cola, leaving me salivating, craving, and snacking in the evening.

I haven't had soda for about 16 years.
But, lately I've been craving it.
I want to have soda with spicy foods.

If you drink soda, be sure to use a straw.
You could dilute it with club soda/ sparkling water.

I've been drinking the flavored sparkling water or club soda with cranberry juice.
That's a good alternative.

Don't beat yourself up over it. Soda is NOT the worst vice out there.

You can plan a little treat day for yourself...and just be an angel the rest of the time.

A colleague of mine said/did something funny, but so true.
We had sweet treats in the breakroom.
She allowed herself to eat one, then she said, "I'm done! I wrecked my diet for the day! So, I might as well have some more." Then, she further indulged and made indulgent meal plans for the rest of this wrecked day.

I think we should do weight watching on an hour-by-hour basis.
If you do a "no-no" at 10 am and eat that donut, let go, move on, concentrate on being good for the next hour.

Don't throw yourself down the stairs...

I had a WW leader who said "just because you trip on one step doesn't mean you have to throw yourself down the stairs"
