We need some action on PT. Start asking for advice. We need something to justify the hours I spend coming back and looking on PT and finding nothing new - or things that I just don't have anything to say about.

Some controversial would be awesome. Nothing like a little fire to put out to bring the interest back.

Forest trails are all closed here. I can't find anything to do but household chores.

Who still has their adult children's possessions lying around the house? I cleaned ds's room out last summer and will be tackling dd's room today.

Trails open over here but very very warm ..too hot for hiking.

We could bring back some of the controversial topics from years past. I'm trying to think of one.

How many threads have we had about waxing so far this summer? Maybe one of those. They can always get interesting.

I feel ya. This summer sucks. Literally all of NM is closed due to fire danger. If the monsoons don't happen, I will lose my mind.

Darn it, Kahluablast, I'm relying on non-lurkers to start threads that keep me entertained!

Seriously, I am a world class TK, plus I've never been a big thread starter here. I pledge to try harder and maybe I'll be successful with DD heading off to college in the fall.

...but my life is very vanilla...so there...

My dd is working on her masters. She boxes stuff up all the time, brings the box to my house and takes a different box back with her if I am lucky. . Her apartment is too small for her stuff. . Oh well, we have the room.

Other dd is still job hunting. I think. She doesn't talk about it. At all. I hate asking about it because I don't want to nag. She has been very helpful while she is here. But I have a whole room of her stuff boxed up and she isn't unpacking until she finds a job and goes there to live. I keep telling her the best way to get a job is to unpack and settle in. Get rid of the boxes.

I don't have a use for the room she has her stuff in. This house is too big for just my dh and I. I am ready to retire and move on. Unfortunately, our jobs say it isn't time yet. How does that happen?

I'll have lots of fodder a year from now. DS will be going off to college and my dd13 and I will be left here. Together. All. The. Time. I love her beyond words but that teenage girl attitude. DS says things to her I could never get away with.

Zia- I am heading up to Colorado after I refill my dogs script this week. I wasn't too much in a hurry as they closed everything up there too! They opened them back up though, so I am on my way.

I declared myself Threadkiller on a different board yesterday. Attempting to kill a thread has added a little something in the past.

If you really want controversy, you can always swing by the politics board.

That board is downright scary these days. I'll just stick to my book.

I feel like the TK often. I think I'm just late to the party many times.

Yeah, it doesn't look like anything will open up any time soon here, so we're heading out of state, too, leaving Friday. Hoping for Jemez mid-late July when we get back.

Action on PT

I miss the craziness that was the Sub Board last year. Remember the poster who wrote in one line sentences, only they were unintelligible? And the poster (probably same person?) who thought they could do everything better?

Fun times.

Remember years ago, in the summer, when you would be gone for a day and come back and there would be pages of posts to catch up on. Ahhhh, the good old days. Pretty darn boring now, although I got a little interested when I saw the title raccoon penises .

If you want controversial, you should definitely head on over to the I&P board . Actually, I think that board is getting more action than the lounge right now, which is crazy IMO.

PT is what keeps me from getting work done in the summer. I need drama, please. I get a little rush when I see a new thread that wasn't there an hour earlier! I am gradually coming out of my lurker shell.

BTW, Kahluablast, I have always wondered if you really look like your avatar. I can say I don't look like avatars I have created, but if you picture Hermie on Rudolph the Rednosed Reindeer, that is me, but in girl form. I love your avatar.
