Good afternoon to all-
I have enjoyed reading messages from other retired teachers, but now that I am very wealthy, I won't have time to read and respond any more. Wealthy people are busy, I have heard.

It seems that I just got a message in my SPAM box from a person I had never heard from before telling me that I had won a contest in Europe somewhere that I had not even entered, and that all I have to do to receive my new wealth is to send him a few minor bits of information like SS number, birthdate, bank account access numbers and so on. No big deal, I should say.
It's good knowing that there are people in this world who are concerned with making sure others get their just rewards.

So, don't worry- I'll remember all of the my friends here on PT even when I am flying my private jet to fantastic places to do fantastic things now that I am rich.

good day to all- Ed

Well your luck is better than mine. My message said that both the FBI and SS were after me for money laundering. Would you be willing to bail me out?

Good afternoon to all-
Star Gazer- Bail out? Of course not. I don't think I can spend any of my millions of dollars to help someone who obviously has exhibited bad behavior like you have been accused of.

We wealthy people have to keep things in perspective.

I'm thinking of running for high political office now that I'm super-rich. Isn't that what rich people do?

Good evening to all- Ed

Most of them just pay somebody else to do the dirty job.

You are one lucky guy. I enter contests once in a while and win nothing....you don't even enter and you win? I would be a sore loser if I didn't congratulate you so congratulations.

Does this mean I can't ask you for fishing advice now?

Fly Fish guy-
Of course, you can still ask me about stuff- but I sure hope being rich makes me actually know a little bit more about it all instead of just making it up as I usually do.

We are getting ready to make a long drive out to Arizona for holidays with grands- and you can rest assured I have my fly rod packed and ready to go, too.

I wonder when my prize money will arrive? I hope it's soon- I need to buy a pair of new blue jeans for the trip.

good day to all- Ed

Chipmunky- Your post reminds me me of what I accept as the three oldest lies in the world:

1. The check is in the mail.
2. Of course, I will respect you in the morning.
3. Really, I just want to touch it.

good day to all- Ed

I'll soon be joining my Nigerian prince with a whole boatload of money that people send him from all over the world in order to get all the millions he has to send back to them upon receipt.

Ahem.

Perhaps we'll cross paths after your collect your winnings?

"...instead of just making it up as I usually do." Hmmm. Good to know.

I heard Arizona is beautiful country. I'm sure you'll find some fishing somewhere.

And enjoy that prize money!

Maybe you can use your new-found wealth to bail out my grandson Chris who just called a few days ago.

I never did find out what exactly he needed because when I asked for his name and e responded "Chris," I hung up. Apparently he had the wrong number because neither of my grandson's is named Chris. So the unknown Chris is still in need of assistance.

Ed, so happy to hear about your new, unexpected windfall! Nothing like winning in a contest you never entered. And Anansi, how lucky the Nigerian Prince picked YOU to send the money that will lead to all of the bags of gold youíll share from his indebted international friends! Ah life is good. Itís a white Christmas here in Jackson Hole and weíre getting ready to head to Arizona soon for a few months of no-snow. Unfortunately we have not been as lucky as you two. The IRS is after us, my subscription for something unknown will be renewed on Dec 28 if I donít call back and cancel with info, someone has contacted me about a critical matter I need to attend to, but they donít reveal the matter because of confidentiality, someone named Inga wants to do something to me that is anatomically impossible, and I missed the call for the free cruise to Mexico City. All I can say is Happy New Year, my wise, savvy, wonderful fellow retired teachers! Life will always be great for us! Weíre retired and weíre no fools!😜. Please keep in touch, Ed & Anansi, even if you become President & Queen!
