Dh and I went out on Wednesday night. Our church hosted posted "Parents Night Out" so we were able to drop our boys off and go to dinner. We went to a local Italian restaurant. He had chicken Parmesan and I had lasagna. It was delicious. Tonight we will just stay home and hang out with our little ones. We may order a pizza.

We are going to have breakfast for dinner. Pink heart pancakes, bacon and fruit. Possibly a giant heart chocolate chip cookie for dessert.

Iím watching my two grand girls so my DS and DIL can go out. Both girls are on antibiotics. Iíll probably eat my left over broccoli and chicken. One DGD will drink her bottle. The other usually has a bowl of yogurt when at Gran's house. This will be a lovely end to a busy week.

I have yoga, haircut and book club. DH is going to drive 25 minutes to a town south of us and pick up pesto salmon and asparagus. Yum! And no cooking for me. We usually eat plant based but spring for fish once in a while. Probably have some wine too...my college friends are meeting us at a college basketball game tomorrow so we will eat out at a restaurant with them. Oh, and I just picked up some dark chocolate covered strawberries too!

We took our girls out for Vday on Wed. Last night I cooked us our Vday dinner. Grilled some awesome steaks (I splurged), crab cakes (frozen- and they were good), microwaved a sweet potato and had some garlic bread. I made a Godiva dessert cheesecake thing that was also pretty good. Tonight we are driving to Colorado for a long weekend so probably McD's.

Salmon, asparagus and wild rice.

We will also have a dill sauce with our salmon. And since DH bought me a box of my favorite chocolates I think we will each indulge in one piece.

Juliet4- a friend once made grilled salmon with pesto and it was so good!

My Valentine is making salmon with a dill sauce, green beans. I may do wild rice. It's my job to buy a small cheesecake. Too much going on to make one! Of course a yummy wine.

DH said he wanted eggs benedict for dinner tonight. I am making homemade hashbrowns and baking caramel rolls right now for dessert. I should make mimosas but not sure I want to make a trip to the liquor store in the cold.
The menu doesn't sound very Valentine's-ish, but it is one of his favorite meals.

I pulled some steaks out of the freezer. Boiled potatoes and something else will round out the meal.

Most likely frozen pizza. When I ask the kids (5 and 3, 1 year old doesn't voice an opinion yet) what they want for supper, they always say pizza. Usually ends up being our goto on Friday nights.

So far I have tri tip beef on the menu. The rule in the house is no pasta or potato for dh so most likely there will be two veggies on the plate with the beef.

We went out for a nice dinner last night. (Had to wait a while, we weren't the only ones with the idea to do it a day early!) We're just having tacos tonight - normal night.

Cracker Barrel copycat broccoli cheese chicken, wild rice, carrots and salad. I had the day off today (Winter Break) and I would rather cook than have to wait forever for a table somewhere. It was yummy!!

So many delicious ideas. I'm saving this list for inspiration when I need it!

We ended up having:
mixed green salad with strawberries and feta
marinated turkey tenderloins
steamed broccoli with parmesan and lemon
red skinned boiled potatoes
Enjoyable

Valentine's fare. Take out Chinese and we watch a movie at home. We've done this since our kids were little. They got Wendy's takeout, and a movie upstairs (only on Valentine's day, other than that we watch movies together downstairs). The kids didn't like Chinese, so it was a chance for us to eat it, and watch a movie we couldn't watch with the kids.

So no kids last night (DD with her BF on a date, DS in grad school), but the tradition continued.
