Piggyback - what's your normal temp?

A poster in a thread below mentioned that her body temp hovers around 96 degrees. This caught my eye because my dh and I have been taking our temp and normal for him seems to be about 97 and I am about 97.1 I was on the phone with a friend who also has a lower than normal body temp. I know that there is variation; just curious what it is.

If you're interested in sharing, please do:

Me, 50s, normal temp 97.1
DH, 50's, normal temp 97

I read an article

the other day (maybe a month ago) about how 98.6 might not really be "normal" and that it would be lower. IIRC, they said that more people are saying that a normal temperature is more like 97,5. Which happens to be close to my normal temperature.

Edited to add:

Here's a link to the article I read:

https://www.health.harvard.edu/blog/...-2020031319173

My normal is about 97.4

My typical temp is 97.2. If I am at 98.6, I feel pretty crummy.

so if I am up to 100, that is a fever for me. So far, so good, though.

Someone should invent a scanner that scans body temps as one is walking into a store. Fever detected, second set of doors does not open. .

96.8
That's been my regular Remo for years and I think weird because of the "normal" 98.6.

My kids are all about 97.5

I've always run about 98.2F when I visit my doctor's office. DH has always been 96.8F.
I do want to add that we have two different thermometers, one that is perhaps 6 or 7 years old, and a new one that we got in December. The new one consistently reads higher than the old one. On the new one my temp has been between 98.4F and 98.6. So accuracy on home thermometers may not be the best.
