Telling a little story...

So since this pandemic has happened, I have ruined two thermometers that actually worked. I got them wet and it ruined the batteries. (I know it sound silly but it happened.) Of course I donít want to go out and get one, and praise God we havenít had any fever scares in my house. I just wanted one though in case and itís nice to know we donít have fevers!

I was just thinking to myself, how could I get one? Online they are outrageous right now.

Something told me to clean my bathroom cabinets. I keep all the thermometers in a different close upstairs.

I took everything out of the cabinets and wiped them all down. I couldnít reach the top shelf so I went and got a step-stool. As I was wiping the top shelf, I felt something. A random thermometer!

I started crying. God knows our hearts. He knows our prayers. Our desires. Even for a thermometer of all things.

Lots of prayers for those who are sick, who are taking care of the sick, those who still have to work, and all of us at home who are doing our part.

I actually went out and bought a thermometer several weeks back when I first started hearing that a fever was one of the symptoms of this dreaded virus. (Evidently others had the same idea because there werenít many left to choose from. The price was outrageous at the drug store, too!)

I have to say what you experienced often happens to me when Iím desperately searching for something and then it seems to suddenly appear. While many might call it coincidence, I give thanks, sometimes VERY gratefully with ďThank you! Thank you! THANK YOU!!Ē and other times, confidently thinking, ďI know that was you, Lord, Thanks!Ē

Iím glad you were able to find that thermometer and have your faith rewarded!

Those God moments are so assuring and faith building. My 'coincidence" was finding a small container of hand sanitizer on a shelf just above the paper towels when I was deep cleaning the kitchen.

I immediately thanked Him! He does stuff like that for all the time. Faith over fear!

getting stir crazy being at home with only my DH. When I read about needing a thermometer I know I have one with our medical supplies, but I thought "what if it breaks and I need a thermometer?" So, I ran to the kitchen drawer and took out my instant read Thermopen I use all the time for cooking and baking. YUP! It works on human's temperatures too.

Now, I had to completely sanitize it. But, I paid $$$ for it, gotta use it all I can.
