Should I mail this?

Well, I planned ahead this year and bought each of my students a stuffed bunny for Easter. Now I have 24 bunnies without a home.
Should I mail them to my students? There's nothing that says you can't use the mail. If I do, How exactly do I mail a stuffed bunny? It's little. But I don't want to go out and spend tons of money of shipping material. Manilla envelopes?
I could also hand deliver them and leave them outside their homes, but then again, I'd need something to put them in.
What should I do?
Curses, why wasn't I a procrastinator this year?

If you are able to deliver them I would do that. I would try to get white lunch bags from a grocery store or Walmart. Bring white, you could decorate with some spring flower drawings or uplifting messages for them.

I just think mailing would get pricey!

Deliver but make sure you let parents know to expect it - otherwise they will probably be thrown away

Or you could be very, very well prepared for next year if mailing/delivering is too much.

Do your families have to go to school to pick up work or computers or lunch? If so, you could hand them out then.

I would just save them for next year if I were you. I donīt know about you or your parents, but I really want to minimize passing objects around right now.

I agree with Claire. I think it would be best to save them for next year.

I'm with Claire and Charlotte; keep the bunnies for next year. The way things are going right now, although it's a great gesture, some families may not accept the bunnies due to fears of latent contamination. You're wonderful to do this for your kiddos. Happy Easter.

Could you use them next fall and Welcome your students with a note

You are Some 'Bunny' special in Ms. ____ Class
Let's Hop Into Learning Together This Year

I'm sure the creative PT people could come up with a great saying.

Depending on your age group, maybe they could be their reading

bunny/buddy... Little oak tag names on a school color ribbon??

Not sure about your school climate, but would have students that don't celebrate Easter? Getting the in the fall wouldn't be celebrating a holiday. Just a random thought.

It's super sweet, but if I were a parent, I wouldn't want anything unncessary coming into our home right now
