Team members zoomed without me

Clip to ScrapBook #1

I saw yesterday on social media that my team members had a zoom meeting without me. It hurt me more than I thought it would. I worry that I am not doing enough, that they are meeting and planning together and posting pictures of what they are doing. I have been getting texts from one member of the team and she never mentioned that they were meeting online. It makes me feel isolated and hurt.

That's awful. I'm sorry they did that. Do you have a team leader you can reach out to? If they are meeting to make plans, you should definitely be included. It's okay to express the hurt and to ask to be included in future meetings.

Thankfully my principal hosts all content area meetings. We are planning as a grade level so all the students have the same assignments across the grade level. This has taken a major load of stress off our shoulders, and I appreciate my principal so much for doing this.

If I were at my last year's building, I have no doubt my "team" would zoom without me. I have no advice for you, but I fully understand how you feel. Is there any chance that your principal could do as mine is doing?

Are you sure you didn't get an email with a code about it? Since you were getting texts from a team member, could you ask her about it? Even a simple, "I saw where our team met on zoom. Did you send out a code and I missed it?"

I would totally feel isolated and hurt as well, especially since they posted it on social media! That's just cruel.

I would send a text to the one member you have been in touch with and ask if you missed the meeting invite. Call them on it!

I too would ask the 1 member that you are in touch with about the meeting. I think I would even blind copy the P just so s/he is aware that you did not intentionally miss the meeting just encase someone tries to get you in trouble.

Hopefully it was an oversight? I know I am indundated with emails and some have been pushed down the line. Maybe contact the one and mention that you saw they Zoomed and could she fill you in?
