So I'm trying it tonight. My husband says I look like Rambo Meets Little House on the Prairie.

I was just thinking that I hope you share your results with us. Maybe we need a before and after picture.

yikes! I couldn't quite understand so I looked it up on Amazon. Back in the day women wore rollers to bed. Then when I was little I remember electric rollers came out. We thought that was a big step forward. The headbands look a little more comfortable, but still too much work. I'll just live with my thin, straight hair.

I hadn't heard of this so I looked up a video. I'm very intrigued, but I'm not sure my hair is long enough- it's only shoulder length. I want to hear results and also how long it took you to put the hair in the headband like that and then how long to take it out! I like my hair curled but it's so much effort .

I also had to look it up on YouTube, and it was interesting! Let us know how it worked out and if you liked it! My hair is naturally curly so I guess I'm lucky I can skip the headband method

My sister came over once when youngest DD had her hair in the headband. My sister said ďWow! I didnít know you were into the retro hair styles.Ē She thought it looked like something from the 20ís. She was thoroughly impressed when the headband came off.

Keltik, my daughter made the same Roaring '20s comment!

This is after taking the headband off. Holy cow, it is INSANELY AWFUL. The area above the headband is frizzy and gross and the rest is just a tangled mess.

My husband about hurt himself laughing at it and (rightfully) asked, "Why didn't you do this on a Saturday? It's like trying a new recipe when company is coming over."

And this final pic is after I put on a metric boatload of Frizz-Ease to smooth it out. I will stick to my usual method. My hair is just too curly and wild for this!

Your hair and style is actually pretty in the last pic!

Guess it doesn't matter what method you use, looks like you've got it figured out as how to make your hair look nice!

Zia,

Thanks for being our guinea pig! Guess I won't be trying this method. But you do look great in the 3rd pic. Can you tell me what anti-frizz product you use?

Well that is certainly an advertisement for Frizz-Ease! The last picture looks nice but sounds like it took a lot of effort to get there.

John Frieda Frizz-Ease and Neutrogena Triple Moisture.

And, folks, don't let my hilariously bad results deter you. My hair is very curly. So many others posted good results in the original thread. It's just my hair, lol.

Waaay more effort and a ton more product than just using heat like I usually do for pretty much the same results.

UVAgrl, your hair looks really pretty. I'm glad the headband trick works for you. Tell me, is your hair naturally straight or wavy? And did you have product in there?

Thanks guys!

I have super thick hair, with a little wave in it (it used to be super curly, but has relaxed the past few years 😜

When I did this I washed my hair at night and wrapped while still damp, and just slept on it. Before taking it out in the morning I sprayed it with hairspray and zapped it with the hair dryer (since itís so thick, sometimes it doesnít dry all the way). I just used my fingers to brush it out.

Iíll have to try it now that my hair is longer- itís about halfway down my back now, and I never get around to styling it!
