We are driving to Florida later this week. Stopping for the night in Jacksonville and then continuing south the next day.

I want to stop in St. Augustine for a few hours. What should we do?

I did the trolly tour and thought it was very informative. You can get off where ever you want too. The tour of the jail was very interesting.

We went to the fort and walked around the shop and restaurant area. We had driven all night so then we took a nap on the beach.

Eat at the Columbia Restaurant on St. George Street.

Visit the old fort, Castillo San Marcos.

Trolley Tour is a must, but especially at night.

If you can stay until the lights come on at 5 or so, St. Augustine has the most beautiful light display for Christmas!

I am sure a tour would be great if you want to see and learn more about the history and fit a lot in.

We enjoy walking around the fort and just walking around the old town. The college and churches are all very interesting.

We recently went to the Shrine of Our Lady La Leche where the first mass was celebrated in 1565. I never knew this was there and really enjoyed walking around the grounds and learning more about the history.

The horse drawn carriage tour was fun. Visit the oldest house and the local churches. Wonderful place.

We've been there many times. I second everything which was suggested including the bus tour of the light display. Its beautiful! St. Augustine is a beautiful town!

We did the trolley tour, the fort, the distillery, the winery, and walked around town. We loved it all. We also were there the day they lite the city up. It was beautiful. The only thing we really didnít particularly enjoy was the chocolate tour. We live St. Augustine!
