White towels?

Going towel shopping with Dh and I saw some white towels last time I was at macys. I really liked them but are they impractical? They would be in Dh and my bathroom only. Is that crazy? I've never had white towels...

I've had white towels for years. I use Proactiv and it will bleach out towels and sheets so I only use white. I've never had any problems with the them looking bad...

I know white towels look crisp & pure, but I personally couldn't keep white face towels white for long. The first time I would wash my face, my makeup would stain it & washing never gets all the makeup out.

I would never buy them because I could never keep them looking good.

I am with a pp - I have all white towels and sheets. Love it! I do have several face cloths that are not white, specifically for make up, but most days, I use a regular white one. Only one towel has any discoloring, and I think it was involved in one of the plumbing issues last summer (think sewage) and didn't get washed in the first load. I can't seem to bleach that one out, but it's barely noticeable either.

I have white because my concealer/facewash ruins colors. I bleach them, which does well with everything except facecloths. The concealer would ruin colors just the same, though, and the facewash would discolor them. I just keep 3 facecloths for only me with makeup and leave the rest for others.

All of my towels and washcloths are white. I think they are much, much easier to keep clean. I wear a lot of make-up, and I don't have any issues with anything staining. I always wash them in HOT water with Oxiclean. I'll use bleach from time to time, just because I feel like they need it . . . although I'm not sure why, exactly.

Most of mine are white too. It makes it much easier on laundry day. I just use hot water and bleach and they are clean. I have never had a problem with staining.

I love white towels! They are easy to clean with bleach and hot water. I find they continue to look good longer than other towels.
