Brussell sprouts!😝😝😝😝😝😝
How do you people eat them?!?!?

I trying Hello Fresh, a meal delivery service, and tonight’s delight include sprouts. I baked them.

I put one on my mouth.
I couldn’t get to the sink fast enough to spit it out.
And now my house stinks which means I won’t sleep because I will smell this rankness all night.

If you respond: DO NOT GIVE ME A “GOOD” recipe!! There is no know antidote for brussell sprouts.

I love Brussels sprouts!

Of course, I also like asparagus, okra, broccoli, eggplant, Lima beans, and all kinds of other veggies a lot of people hate. (But I don’t care for green beans, corn, carrots, potatoes, or other “normal” vegetables.)

I love them but they do stink up the house. I can’t cook them as much as I’d like because I’m the only one in the family that likes them and everyone complains about the smell!

They are stinky, but they are so good. But according to this article, there is a reason that a lot of people hate them.

I never liked them, until I was in a restaurant one day recently and someone in the group ordered them for an appetizer. They were delicious!

Wait awhile and then try them at a good restaurant cooked with balsamic vinegar. It tastes sooo much better!

I ever had a brussell sprout was early in my DH's and my relationship. We went to his mother's house where I was introduced. She had prepared brussell sprouts from her own garden. I was eager to make a good impression, so when they were offered to me, I said that they looked delicious. And when I was offered more, I said, "Why of course I would love some more."

And... that was the beginning of a long friendly relationship with brussell sprouts. (We actually really like them!)

I will eat them if I'm in someone's home and they're served, and I like them ok. I will never cook them. They smell up the house and I am super sensitive to certain odors. My mom is the same way, so I never ate them as a kid.

I eat every other vegetable except raw onions.

I love them, but then I love just about every vegetable except okra and lima beans.
I cut them in half if they are large and steam them for 6 minutes or until just tender. Then I sprinkle on some salt/pepper and a tiny bit of oil and broil them until they have a nice toasty color to them. Delicious.

i've never really loved them (and honestly am not sure how many times i've had them...) since DH is doing Keto, i was trying to branch out on our typical veggies, and i'd found this recipe that people were saying was AWESOME!!! well....i now have an aversion to Brussels sprouts! i'm sure they would have tasted A LOT better if we had regular balsamic vinegar, but....the BLACKBERRY balsamic DID NOT work out!!! i would be willing to give them another try if someone else made them...

I like them. They're the only vegetable that really has a flavour of its own. Most vegies I eat because health and nutrition, but they're bland and boring and taste of nothing. As least Brussels Sprouts taste of something!

I haven't had Brussels sprouts in years, probably decades. But just reading these posts, I can "taste" them. They do have a strong taste. I used to like them better when they were smaller, but it's difficult to get really small ones because of how the plant grows.

Yum! They have become one of my go to's!

I don't find the taste that strong, but I do prefer the baby brussels - they are a bit less bitter.

Roasted Brussels sprouts are really trendy here right now. I still think they are NASTY.

I'm with you Keltik--there is no saving them. My friends keep ordering them and telling me, "Oh you will LOVE these!" No. I won't. Let's give up that ghost, shall we?

Sorry guys, brussel sprouts rank up there with lima beans . I detest them. I have tried, but I can not do it. I figure my 56 year old self can get by without them. There are so many other vegetables to choose from.

I'm kind of like Sam I Am... I do not like them here or there - I do not like them anywhere. Unfortunately my family is like the little characters with the trays saying, Try them and you may. So we've grilled brussel sprouts, roasted them, cooked them with bacon, sprinkled them other times with balsamic. They're just nasty!!
